Seattle, Wash. — June 12, 2008 — Daptiv, the on-demand leader in collaborative business software, today announced the launch of the Daptiv Greenhouse, a forum in which Daptiv users collaborate with one another and Daptiv on product innovation. The first full-cycle customer-vendor collaboration forum, Greenhouse brings true transparency to the product development process. Daptiv Greenhouse enables users to take part in product innovation by submitting ideas for new product features, voting and commenting on ideas, tracking the progress of an implemented idea, and in the final stage, allowing them to grade the result.
After a successful limited beta in late January with roughly 200 attendees from YouCon08, Daptiv’s annual user conference, Daptiv is now making the Greenhouse available to its entire customer base of more than 100,000 users. The beta allowed Daptiv to fine-tune the forum and gauge initial customer reactions, which have been overwhelmingly positive. As the rest of the Daptiv community contributes to the Greenhouse forum, Daptiv anticipates that time-to-innovation will decrease as product innovation is prioritized by customer need and features are expediently introduced through seasonal product updates.
“The Greenhouse is an invaluable way for me to champion the feature requests that matter most to my organization,” said Tammy Ault, a senior project manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. “One of the ideas I planted has more than 200 points from other users, and I’ve also gotten detailed feedback from the Daptiv team. Having insight into what Daptiv is working on and knowing that our ideas are being carefully considered makes us true partners in innovation with Daptiv. It’s good to know that Daptiv is committed to collaborating with its customers and that I can have a hand in directly shaping the future of the product I depend on.”
Daptiv’s objective as a SaaS technology leader is to go beyond providing a collaborative business solution to be a true partner in innovation with its customers. The latest manifestation of Daptiv’s commitment to customer experience and collaboration, the Greenhouse offers Daptiv customers unprecedented transparency into the product development cycle, giving them a voice throughout the development process. Users have the option to track their favorite ideas via RSS or email as ideas move through the cycle of being “planted” and “cultivated.” Additionally, the Greenhouse forum features an "in progress" tab so that customers can see which ideas have reached the “harvest,” or development stage, even allowing them to give input as new features are being built. To round out the full cycle of product development, Daptiv users will also have the ability to rank and comment on completed ideas, giving Daptiv feedback on how well they’ve executed customers’ requests.
“Since starting our beta we have witnessed an amazing response - our customers have really taken advantage of the opportunity to be actively involved in product development and new feature requests,” said Nicole Shaw, product manager at Daptiv. “So far, with only about 200 users involved, 238 ideas have been planted, earning more than 1,300 votes and 260 comments. For the product development team, it’s a great way for us to have an ongoing dialogue with our customers as we work together to continue to build on the strength of our product. We truly value the community’s input, and our customers value being able to see our roadmap and follow their product ideas throughout the development cycle.”
